1929 III/47 EM Skinner - HW 5+

Price: $299.00

St. Mark’s Episcopal | Glendale, CA

Great, Pedal and Choir chamber in the East gallery. Not shown is the Swell chamber in the West gallery

This instrument is a quintessential example of EM Skinner's medium sized instruments of the 1920's.  This instrument was built in 1929 for St. Paul's Memorial Church, United Church of Christ, in Reading PA.  In 2009, Parkey moved the instrument, restored it, and installed it at St. Mark's Episcopal, Glendale CA.  Most importantly, the instrument was restored but not "improved".  An excellent detailed background of the instrument can be found here.

Through outstanding support of Ron Barnett, organist at SMG, and Ryan Ballantyne of RM Ballantyne organs who maintains the instrument, we have developed a four channel surround sample set for this fine instrument.  We have judiciously expanded the instrument for additional functionality, however the "historic" layout of the instrument is available on separate pages in the Hauptwerk display.

Restored original console

The restored original console retains the pre-AGO English-style stop layout.  Pedal Swell  Choir Great.

Coupler layout is all unison couplers together, then all sub and super, including intradivisional, in one place
